Christians: Dangerous Hate Speech and Evangelical ‘Hate Groups’ [Video]

I have a confession to make.

I must be a “hater,” according ABC, NBC and the left media.

Why? Because I invited the president of what they say is a top “hate group” to my home, filled with Christian leaders.

The Alliance Defending Freedom is a Christian Civil Rights group defending Christian liberty. It’s also called a “hate group” by a radical, discredited group called the Southern Poverty Law Center.

We’re “haters,” we’re told, because we believe the Bible is true, that mankind is fallen and in need of a Savior, and we believe we should live according to certain moral rules, including sexual purity.

This accusation was highlighted when Attorney General Jeff Sessions recently gave a closed-door speech on religious liberty to that “hate” group … according to the media.

Really?

NBC News’ headline screamed “Jeff Sessions Tells ‘Hate Group’ DOJ Will Issue Religious Freedom Guidance.”

NBC followed it up with “Attorney General Jeff Sessions Criticized for Speaking to Hate Group.”

ABC News’ headline spouted, “Jeff Sessions Addresses ‘Anti-LGBT Hate Group…”

His speech was to the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), a civil liberties organization dedicated to defending Americans’ right to religious freedom.

The ADF is not a “hate group.” It’s an out-and-out smear and the news media knows it.

In this powerful 6-minute video, Kristen Waggoner defends the group:

The mainstream media hung their hat on the “hate group” label based on the designation by the once-respected but now a radical leftist Southern Poverty Law Center.

The SPLC lost the title “civil rights watchdog group” a long time ago, and today moves lockstep with left-wing ideals.

The SPLC essentially labels every politically conservative organization a “hate group.” If you espouse Christian beliefs, well, you’re a “hater.”

If there is a hate group here, it is the SPLC, which hates Christians who resist being forced to violate their deeply held beliefs and bow to the god of Political Correctness.

I believe we should have the basic liberty to live according to our faith, and we also believe that other human beings should be able to live according to the different dictates of their consciences, so long as we all respect each other’s fundamental rights.

Do we want the kind of world where those who don’t agree with liberal viewpoints are branded haters? We have to fight this at every turn, supporting ADF and other religious liberty advocates in their courtroom battles.

Right now, the media is on a mission to stigmatize orthodox Christians as dangerous bigots and haters.

What are you going to do when your church is designated a “hate group”?

How are your kids going to hold to the faith when doing so will cost them professionally, socially and maybe even legally?

How ironic … but as Christians we are to be known by our love.

Luke 6:35 reminds us to “Love our enemies, do good to them.”

1 John 4:7 tells us, “Let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.”

And I love this Scripture in Proverbs 10:12:

“Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs.”

  1. Proverbs 29:27
An unjust man is abominable to the righteous, And he who is upright in the way is abominable to the wicked.
    Matthew 10:22
You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.

  2. We cannot allow the liberals to control the narrative with their constant barrage of lies, and we need to be vical and combat this attack or the lies will thrive and grow in a vacuum of silence. The genuine Church of Jesus Christ, the collective body of His followers cannot afford to be browbeaten into silence. A Casper Milquetoast theology of wimpiness and withdrawal from the culture has resulted in the removal of prayer and bible reading from our schools, as well as abortion, “Gay marriage”, the proliferation of pornography, just to mention a few ” insignificant” (sarcasm intended) maladies plaguing us as a result of this cowardly thinking.
