The upcoming election is one of the most critical in America’s history.
Will conservative, libertarian and Christian candidates lose like they did in the mid-terms in 2018 … or will they achieve a stunning victory?
We can win … but we must learn from the mistakes that conservatives, libertarians and Christians made in 2018 … and prepare strategically for victory in 2020.
Today’s elections are no longer about who smiles the most, who has the cleverest statements or who looks best on TV. Today’s politics aren’t even about who can be the most articulate on the issues, or right on the issues.
Today’s elections are about who can mobilize better than their opponent.
In the following special report, you’ll discover 3 surprising reasons for the Democrat Socialist blue wave in 2018 … and 6 little-known strategies we can use to stop the coming “blue tsunami” of 2020.
Reason #1: Ballot Harvesting – Tactic to Create Skyrocketing Voter Turnout
“Ballot harvesting” is the strategy used widely by Democrat Socialists in the midterm elections of 2018. It allows one person to gather potentially 100, 200, 500 or more ballots from potential voters and drop them off at the polls.
Ballot harvesting is legal in 27 states … some with no restrictions, like California. 18 states outlaw it.
It produces 6 –10% higher voter turnout for a candidate – enough to win most elections.
This is a highly strategic method of GOTV (Get Out the Vote) … and Democrat Socialists will stop at nothing to collect ballots that support their candidates.
Ballot harvesting is easy. It allows paid workers and volunteers to drop off hundreds of ballots … without any sort of filtering process. No records are kept of who delivers the ballots. No “trail” exists.
Democrat Socialists outmaneuvered conservatives and Republicans in the following ways:
• They held potlucks and events to collect ballots.
• They visited low-income housing projects and went door-to-door in massive
• They engaged in a manipulative activity called “granny farming” – going to
nursing homes and collecting ballots from the elderly.
• And they used volunteer and paid workers to register and identify key
potential voters and Get Out the Vote (GOTV).
Ballot harvesting is sneaky … but it’s not voter fraud. It’s a clever ground game, devised to increase voter turnout among Democrat Socialist voters.
And it worked for the Democrat Socialists who:
1. Registered potential voters.
2. Used advanced digital and targeted marketing to identify likely voters – creating a database.
3. Organized paid volunteers to go door to door.
4. Picked up the ballots.
Many of these ballots were brought in by “harvesters” who had gone to strategically data-driven houses to collect identifiable votes.
Here’s what one ballot harvester, caught on camera, said at the door of a potential voter. She had gone to this house multiple times. She did not want to talk to the parents of this target – an independent millennial. Here is what she said, looking for “Brandy”:
“I came here to pick up your ballot…We’re offering this new service, but only for people who are supporting the Democrat party…I’m just trying to pick up your ballot and show you how to do it if you don’t know.”
So…if the person wanted to vote for a Republican candidate, this ballot harvester wouldn’t take the ballot.
She even volunteered to show “how to fill out her ballot.”
Ballot harvesting was tremendously successful in areas where votes were critical in election outcomes.
Take Orange County, California – with a population of 3.2 million people, higher than in many states – where over 250,000 absentee ballots were harvested by the Democrat Socialists in 2018. The voter registrar in Orange County reported that people were routinely coming in with 100-200 ballots that they had harvested.
That’s enough to defeat four members of Congress, a State Senator and Assemblyman, state and county officers and local officers.
The result was that Orange County – which typically votes in conservative candidates – went blue.
Ballot harvesting was the explanation for many late Democrat Socialist victories in which Republicans initially won … but lost after the vote-by-mail ballots were counted.
Here are some examples from California:
– Republican Mimi Walters was up 48–51.7% on Election Day. She lost by
12,523 votes after Election Day.
– Republican Jeff Denham was up 49.4–50.6% on Election Day. He lost by 9,990 votes after Election Day.
– Republican Steve Knight was up 43–48% on Election Day. He lost by 21,396 votes after Election Day.
– Republican David Valadao was up 39–50% on Election Day. He lost by 862 votes after Election Day.
Assembly races in California often had the same results: In the 38th district, Democrat Socialist Christy Smith was behind one percentage point, but late vote- by-mail ballots helped her win by nearly two percentage points. In the 74th district, Democrat Socialist Cottie Petrie-Norris beat incumbent Matthew Harper by four points, even though she was down by one point on election night.
And, the California Superintendent of Instruction race was won by Tony Thurmond – even though Thurmond was outspent by former charter school executive Marshall Tuck.
Thurmond won because of ballot harvesting and the Democrat Socialist GOTV effort.
Ballot harvesting targets minorities, young voters and other groups that usually vote Democrat Socialist. It’s based on advanced data modeling and collection.
One volunteer said, “We were not wasting time talking to people who weren’t going to vote for Democrat candidates.”
No one knows who collected and delivered the ballots. No one knows if they changed or manipulated the ballots. They were anonymously delivered.
Reason #2: Voter Fraud and Manipulation
Ballot harvesting isn’t voter fraud, but it does open the door for voter fraud.
When anyone can turn in anyone else’s ballot, people can manipulate ballots, steal votes, and lie and cheat the system.
Vote buying, in which someone pays someone for their ballot and fills it out, is responsible for some of the high numbers of votes.
And, voter coercion is used by Democrat Socialist-leaning unions to control and manipulate the vote. People are bullied into voting a certain way, or their ballots are collected and then tossed if they don’t agree with the leader’s opinion.
Illegal votes caused by the motor voter system, poorly managed voter rules and more impact each election.
Motor voter registration is the system in which people can register to vote at the same time they obtain or renew their driver’s license at the DMV. It’s easy for illegal immigrants to register to vote since there is no verification of citizenship at the time illegals get their driver’s licenses.
Reason #3: Strategic Targeting, Digital Marketing and an Army of Pro-Socialist Paid Workers and Volunteers
The fact is, the Democrat Socialists were strategic and brilliant in their campaigning.
They used an anti-Trump-invigorated volunteer base, digital marketing and strategic targeting to spread their message … and change people’s opinions and worldviews.
The Democrat Socialist movement has an organized, strategic approach to resisting Trump, all consolidated into their “bible” – “Indivisible.”
This guide is used to inform and educate tens of thousands of volunteers across America to help them spread the progressive message in their communities.
It’s a brilliant manual regarding ground-game operations. And it works. By using money, data and an organized GOTV effort, they achieved victory in the midterms.
I warned conservatives, libertarians and Christians about the high-level organization among Democrat Socialists before the midterm elections.
The Democrat Socialist organization Swing Left worked together with 22 other ideological organizations in a massive effort to get out the vote.
Before the effort was underway, it was called “unprecedented in its scope and scale.” It was a massive push to get voters to actually vote. And it was successful.
It brought millions more to the polls than is typical for a midterm election – and it helped Democrat Socialists regain control of the House.
I also warned about the “last weekend” that the Democrat Socialists were organizing to get out the vote before the midterms – including ballot harvesting.
Democrat Socialists know that this is the key target period … because the “last weekend” can change the course of an election … and it did.
Democrat Socialist organizations recruited both veteran activists and newcomers to influence key federal, state and local races in which the vote could swing either way.
They formed an army of volunteers that committed more than a million hours for “The Last Weekend.”
They made millions of phone calls … canvassed door-to-door … and hosted events to influence people to vote for Democrat Socialist candidates.
This is what the Democrat Socialists were doing to prepare for victory – combining technology, data and a massive army to selectively get out Democrat Socialist voters. But most conservative, libertarian and Christian candidates still ran their campaigns like it was the year 2000 – with antiquated and anemic efforts.
The consultants and campaigns did not mobilize or use the formula:
Money + Data Collection + Message + Advanced Digital and Traditional Targeting + GOTV = Victory
They hired political consultants who don’t understand databuilding, digital marketing and targeting. And they ignored a GOTV campaign. As a result, conservative, libertarian and Christian candidates:
- didn’t market efficiently
- didn’t reach the right voters
- didn’t use their money or resources correctly
- failed miserably in getting out the vote
- and didn’t do ballot harvesting
What conservatives, libertarians and Christians need to do is to learn and implement the same tactics and strategies Democrat Socialists use – which I’ll explain in just a moment.
The midterms taught us a critical lesson: In 2020, we need to be much better prepared to win.
I cautioned conservatives, libertarians and Christians about the early start Democrat Socialists had for the 2018 elections. They knew that about 70% of all voting is done by mail … so they pushed hard to make sure people filled out their mail-in ballots with Democrat Socialist candidates, and then gathered those ballots.
Stopping the Tsunami of 2020: Essentials for Republicans, conservatives and Christians to Turn the Game Around and Win in 2020
If the idea of Tom Steyer … Elizabeth Warner … Bernie Sanders … Kamala Harris … or another Socialist … becoming President terrifies you … and you feel overwhelmed by the money and the strategy of the Democrat Socialists … let’s not forget about the surprise election of Donald Trump in 2016.
Trump had less money than his opponent and was a political outsider who had never held office. In fact, Trump ran with $957.6 million and Hillary ran with $1.4 billion.
He should have lost the election, if money that was the only thing that counted.
And yet, he won.
How did he do it?
Trump had a brilliant marketing strategy. He had a strong, clear message. He knew his voter base, and how to reach them. He used digital, text and database marketing to his advantage.
In 2020, we can do the same … and in fact, even better.
Like Trump, if candidates do their marketing smarter than their opponent … they’ll win.
We can reverse the blue tsunami nationally … and reverse the dangerous tide of socialism, radically progressive social values, anti-business regulations, tax increases and more.
Here are 6 little-known strategies we need to take to prepare for victory in 2020:
Essential 1: Define our message – We have the solutions to the biggest issues.
Conservatives, libertarians and Christians don’t need to change their message to look more like the Democrat Socialists’ anti-Trump message of Democrat Socialist social and economic values.
Instead, we need to focus on what is relevant and important to people: solutions to big issues.
Conservatives, libertarians and Christians have answers to growing economic dangers. Democrat Socialists want more rules and regulations and a “nanny state” fed by higher taxes. They want to kill business with increasing minimum wages. They want to make taxpayers pay for ridiculous bureaucratic jobs, “free” healthcare for all … and more.
Conservatives, libertarians and Christians have the answers to our massive, historic debt of $741 billion. They know how to boost the economy and create more jobs with policies that encourage new innovation and business growth.
Under President Trump, the economy has boomed. Employment rates – especially for blacks and Hispanics – are at a high. New businesses are thriving.
Conservatives, libertarians and Christians need to stand for something – to help restore the American dream.
They need to regroup and push a message of job growth and lowered taxes to encourage economic growth.
They also have to reach out to a wider range of voters with a message of freedom and lower taxes … as well as better schools and safer communities.
For Hispanics, pro-life, pro-economic opportunity and pro-family are key issues.
For Evangelical Christian and conservative Catholics: life, religious freedom, pro- Israel, helping the persecuted Church and who sits on the U.S. Supreme Court are among the top non-negotiable issues.
We have the right messaging on health. We have the right messaging on education. We have the right messaging on so many different key issues that the Democrat Socialists are running with … and we have the right answers.
Essential 2: Revitalize the Republican Party.
Conservatives need to focus on training and mobilization for the next generation.
We need to use data for targeted digital marketing, text messaging and direct mail.
We need to make phone calls and go door-to-door. We must have data collection, better marketing, a better Get Out the Vote (GOTV) campaign – or we will lose.
I hold workshops to train millennials in advanced marketing and advertising tactics for political campaigns. We need to hold more of these kinds of workshops, to educate and inform conservatives, libertarians and Christians how to be effective.
For too long, conservatives, libertarians and Christians have been identified with a narrow set of issues.
Now, we need to stand for something – to help restore the American dream.
Essential 3: Register people to vote.
Democrat Socialist organizations purposefully collect data. They go door-to-door in some neighborhoods, contact people on the phone, hold potlucks and community forums and sign people up for Obamacare and other social services to collect data.
Then they find out who isn’t registered to vote … or who is an infrequent voter…
And they make sure everyone is registered to vote … and does vote on election day.
They make sure people get vote-by-mail ballots.
We need to do a better job of educating and informing non-registered conservatives, libertarians and Christians on how to vote for people who will uphold their beliefs.
Ballot harvesting should not be allowed … but it is. And Democrat Socialists are going to use it.
That’s why we need to use the same tactic, or we’re going to see another “blue tsunami.” We need to help people to register to vote – especially at churches, where there are millions of potential voters who aren’t voting.
Through election time, churches, small groups and individual ministries can educate people how to vote their values and help people fill out their ballots and turn them in. And, the Sunday before election time, churches can designate a special “Ballot Sunday” where congregants can bring their ballots to church to fill them out and turn them in.
Essential 4: Make it easy to know who to vote for.
Democrat Socialists created powerful, unified voter guides to get out the vote (GOTV).
We must do the same thing. People want trusted advice.
My websites, JudgeVoterGuide.com, CraigHuey.com and ElectionForum.org had close to 1 million voters using our recommendations.
This number must be greatly multiplied … reaching voters nationwide.
We need to hold events and educate voters so that they know how to elect conservatives, libertarians and Christian candidates.
Essential 5: We need to use the most advanced marketing possible.
We need to outdo the Democrat Socialists in their branding and positioning, in their outreach and in their marketing efforts.
Trump’s team outperformed Hillary’s team – a team that was 4 years behind all the great new advances.
One of the most advanced strategic tactics I use is called “geo-fencing,” which sends targeted videos by Facebook, pre-roll and Google to the cell phones of people who have visited certain locations or events, such as churches.
This high-level digital strategy has allowed me to reach voters with a targeted, relevant and critical message they need to hear.
For example, I ran a campaign for a conservative candidate with zero name- recognition and less than $100,000. He was running against three well-known candidates and the Republican establishment.
And yet, he nearly made it to the top two – which in California, is a nearly impossible mission.
How did I do it?
First, I tied his campaign to a petition against California’s horrific “Ban the Bible” bill.
Then, I geo-fenced residents of the district he was running in who had gone to Greg Laurie’s Harvest Crusade and Franklin Graham’s crusade.
I also geo-fenced over 50 churches in the same area, targeting people who had gone to church in the past 6 months. We reached 95,000 people with Facebook ads, pre-rolls ads and Google ads for this candidate’s campaign.
The results were amazing: 942,000 impressions of the campaign … and 288,000 video views.
If we use geo-targeting in 2020 to GOTV and spread our message, the results could be extraordinary.
But we need to start right now in order to stop the blue tsunami from gathering strength and size.
Essential 6: Win the Evangelical vote.
A war has been waged on Christianity in this country – against individual Christians, Christian values, homeschooling, churches, Christian businesses and more.
Conservatives, libertarians and Christians need to win the Evangelical vote with their pro-faith, pro-family and pro-freedom message.
This includes mobilizing the Evangelical voter.
Unfortunately, many Evangelicals do not vote. In fact, 45-55% of 80 million Evangelical voters do not vote.
Trump knew how to reach the Evangelicals in the 2016 election. He ran on a pro- life, pro-religious freedom platform that spoke to Christians who are opposed to abortion and coming under increasing attack for their faith.
And he won because of the advanced GOTV outreach he did to Evangelicals in key swing states.
Now, we need to educate Christians on how to vote from a Biblical worldview on core issues like abortion, the sanctity of life, Israel, helping the persecuted church and Christian civil liberties.
And, we need to help wake up pastors to speak out and speak up for family values.
One of the things I do to mobilize Evangelicals is to hold Election Forum events at churches to educate Christians on how to vote their values. In fact, 81% of Evangelicals will vote Republican, if motivated and instructed on how to vote.
The problem is, many of them don’t know how to vote, and don’t know what kind of an impact they can have on their city, state and nation.
The #1 thing to do that will completely transform the vote is church ballot harvesting.
Before the election, everyone brings the ballot. They fill it out (with a voter guide) and give it to the pastor to hand-deliver. 200–20,000 ballots can be done at one time!
Do Something – Be Proactive and Make a Difference
In 1964, Republicans were down to 127 members of Congress. Many thought that there was no return and that the party would die.
It was the death of the GOP.
But then in 1966, Ronald Reagan appeared and turned California away from the edge of destruction. Then, in 1980 he turned America red again and restored hope and the American dream to millions.
We can turn this around. We can win in 2020.
We can stop the blue tsunami … and see conservatives, libertarians and Christians elected – even in California.
Remember, it’s not about who is the most well-spoken or has the best appearance. Candidates who can mobilize voters better than their opponents will win the election.
We have to be strategic, thorough and disciplined in our approach. We have to revitalize the Republican Party, focus on key issues, use data and digital marketing, and get out the vote from conservatives, Christians and libertarians.
Here are 13 key things that you can do right now to make a real difference:
1. Volunteer for a political/social action group. Your presence, input and activity in helping a group make a big difference. Maybe you could even lead one.
2. Volunteer for a candidate. Helping a candidate can make a great difference. Only with volunteers can a candidate win. The greatest needs are for GOTV volunteers to go door to door. The next greatest need are phone volunteers. There are many other activities you can help with.
3. Run, or help someone run for office. Consider running for office … yes, you. If you’re running for office or know somebody who is running for office, give me a call at (310) 212-5727 and I can help you or another candidate win.
4. Donate to our “Turn America Around” campaign to develop voter guides, digital marketing campaigns and more. You can help turn America around by helping us to run massive marketing campaigns to educate, inform and mobilize conservative, libertarian and Christian voters … and change the hearts and minds of “persuadables.” Click here.
5. Come to our marketing boot camps or watch our webinars. You can get trained to help with your church, group or candidate and impact our culture by participating in our marketing boot camps and webinars. For more information, email Jaquelin at Jaquelin@cdmginc.com.

8. Use your Facebook – or other social media – to educate and mobilize votes.
9. Arrange for me to speak at your church or club. I frequently speak at Sunday morning services, and hold Election Forums to go over the ballot. You can see my topics here.
10. Be informed and share with friends. Socialists and community organizers use this as one of their main tactics. They have coffee, they hold events, they use their email and phone to market. They act as if we are at war – and we are. Use your own contacts. Use your contact list to educate and get out the vote.
