“The Voice”: Bringing Worship to Millions [video you must see!]

Jordan Smith, a contestant on “The Voice,” performed the hymn “Great is Thy Faithfulness” on the show last week.

12 million viewers watched as he sang praises to our Lord.

And the performance was incredibly popular! So popular that he reached the top of the iTunes charts. It ranked higher than Justin Bieber’s latest two singles, Adele’s “Hello,” and Drake’s “Hotline Bling.”

Smith is a senior at Lee University, a Pentecostal college. He is part of the music ensemble there and credits the university for where he’s at now.

The crowd roared as Jordan Smith sung the refrain of a 20th century hymn:

“Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness!

Morning by morning new mercies I see;

All I have needed thy hand hath provided;

Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!”

  1. I watch “The Voice” all the time because, as mentioned, it seems to be more & more accepting of ‘religious’ songs. Jordan’s performances have brought me to tears (of joy!) more than once! The Lord has truly blessed him & I’m cheering him on all the way! God bless this sweet, tender man! (Our own Kevin Click from Calvary tried out for this show, but quickly dismissed him – who knows why?).
