Under California’s terrible top two primary no-write in candidates are allowed in this November election. And no third-party candidates are allowed to run. In other words, you have no other choices than the two candidates on your ballot. You can vote for one or the other, or not vote at all. If you don’t vote on any candidate in that race all your other votes will count.
Proposition 14 has stopped write-in votes for the General election for partisan offices. Non-partisan offices, like judges, are not stopped by Prop. 14.
