Persecution & Martyrs: The Booming Church in China

Craig HueyUncategorized0 Comments

Christians suffered terrible persecution in China, especially under communist dictator Mao Tse-Tung.

Murder. Torture. “Re-education camps.” Prison.

Mao tried to wipe out all Christianity and forced 10,000 missionaries to leave China.

Today, persecution of Christians by local and national communists is still growing.

But so is the church. The spiritual revival in China is amazing.

Christians are locked up for having Bible studies. Churches are destroyed.

But the church grows.

China has 1.3 billion people. It’s estimated the Christian population has grown to around 58 million.

The communist government is cracking down on churches, but evangelism continues.

When my wife Shelly was in China, she was told by taxi drivers and others to avoid detection. But still she went, prayed… even gave out Chinese Bibles.

The protests in Hong Kong – terribly ignored by President Obama… were led by Christians.

Pray for our brothers & sisters in China… their suffering… their growth… their protection.
