7 Things the President Didn’t Say about Terrorism and Your Family [video and song]

  1. The terrorists want us to fear. But “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7).

Our culture may be dominated by fear right now, but Christians are a counter-culture… a people who have:

  • Love
  • Peace
  • Joy
  • Hope

Despite circumstances.

Even in times of terrorism.

Listen to this powerful song… let it’s truth minister to you: “No Longer Slaves.”

  1. Resist the calls to violate the U.S. Constitution by making security more important than freedom.

In France, they gave up freedom… for security… by suspending freedom of the press and other freedoms.

But this is wrong… and unnecessary.

Gov. Christie, Sen. Lindsey Graham, Sen. Marco Rubio, Donald Trump, and Jeb Bush joined Hillary Clinton and liberals wanting greater government control over our phones, emails and text messages.

Senator Paul and Cruz refuse to compromise our freedom while demanding every effort to protect us.

Liberals and progressives call for gun control, violating our 2nd Amendment rights and ignoring the reality that gun control will do nothing to stop Islamic terrorism. It will only make it easier to kill.

  1. Your church. A church is likely a target in the future. They are a prime target in Islamic countries for shootings and bombings. Pray. Prepare. Pray.

Read our article on “Terror at Church” here.

  1. What the government must do.
  • Defeat, not contain, ISIS. Like a deadly cancer, it can’t be ignored.
  • Secure our borders. Not just with Mexico, but reform the VISA and passport problem that can allow terrorists to come in.
  • No Syrian refugees except the Christians targeted for genocide with 100% proof.
  • Acknowledge it is Islamic terrorism – Obama and Clinton are in denial.
  1. Be prepared. You probably already have a communication and meeting plan with your family. In San Bernardino, communication among those involved in the terrorist attack was broken and confused.
  • Have a location escape plan your entire family knows about… just in case.
  • Have a weapon and be trained how to use it.
  • If you are trained, get a concealed weapon permit to protect you, your family and others.
  • Have emergency water, food and a generator.
  • Have cash for emergency and some gold and silver.

Watch and report anything suspicious. It’s prudent to report rather than ignore.

  1. God’s people are people of reconciliation. The world knows racism, yesterday and today. But God is the God of all… Galatians 3:26-28.

We need to be people who reach out to those of Middle Eastern descent. Our problem is with radical Islam, which transcends race. Our goal is to reflect the first century norm – a multi-ethnic church.

I love going to Calvary Chapel South Bay with Pastor Jeff. There are thousands of Christians, blended together in love. It’s multicultural and a testimony of what God can do.

The church in Antioch, around 70 AD, was where believers in Christ were first called Christians. IT had 18 different ethnic groups and was a segregated city… except the church.

The early church, in fact, was multi-ethnic. Ephesians 2:8-18 is for all races, representing the good news of the gospel for all.

And let’s understand what Islam is vs. the good news of Jesus Christ (see this video for contrast).

God is working among the Muslim population overseas and with the 4 million in the US. Many are coming to Christ.

  1. Here is a powerful song to minister to you and others.

No Longer Slaves. See music video here.

Here are the powerful words:

You unravel me

With a melody

You surround me with a song

Of deliverance

From my enemies

Till all my fears are gone

I’m no longer a slave to fear

I am a child of God

I’m no longer a slave to fear

I am a child of God

From my mother’s womb

You have chosen me

Love has called my name

I’ve been born again

Into a family

Your blood flows through my veins

I’m no longer a slave to fear

I am a child of God

I’m no longer a slave to fear

I am a child of God

I’m no longer a slave to fear

I am a child of God

I’m no longer a slave to fear

I am a child of God

I am surrounded

By the arms of the Father

I am surrounded

By songs of deliverance

We’ve been liberated

From our bondage

We’re the sons and the daughters

Let us sing our freedom

You split the sea

So I could walk right through it

All my fears were drowned in perfect love

You rescued me

So I could stand and sing

I am a child of God

  1. God is still on the throne and He is in control. As a chid of God he protects me and nothing happens without His approval. Also “we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” I must add that there is nothing wrong with being alert and making preparations in case of trouble. The terror activities that are happening now should be a clarion call to the church to start praying earnestly for God’s intervention. The solution to the problems we are now facing is not social, economic or political, it is spiritual (IIChronicles 7:14).

  2. I agree with most of what you say but I feel we need to stop the refugees entrance into the US
ISIS IS GOING TO SEND THEIR PEOPLE AMONGST THE REFUGEES & there really isnt a way to Vet them properly. President Obama has been bringing them in by the carloads for years. Most of the folks that believe in Islam really do not want our love & kindness. I think When Donald Trump said no more muslims entering the US, he means the refugees & I agree as do many of my conservative & Christian friends. Even Cruz came out against this stand by Trump which is a big mistake on his part. I love God & My Country, I want to protect my children & grandchildren.I was all for Cruz until he sort of back peddled on this issue
The amount of Christians amongst the refugees has been minimal and I am not willing to risk
the lives of good decent people & my beloved family for a future of Sharia law in the United States
