Finally, Hobby Lobby, which fought for its Christian values all the way to the Supreme Court … and won … has a great story.
They live up to the Word of God when it comes to being generous cheerful givers.
I love stories like this one.
2 Corinthians 9: 6-8 reminds us:
“But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.”
David Green, Hobby Lobby’s CEO, started his career making picture frames in his garage.
He is a Christian business owner in action, living out his faith.
The son of a preacher, he is a firm believer that living generously results in a better family life.
Today, he own’s the world’s largest privately-owned business and employs over 32,000 people in 700 stores across 47 states.
Green adds 50 stores a day to the Hobby Lobby chain, which brings in $4.6 billion annually. It has ZERO debt.
He built his company on Biblical values, especially when it comes to giving.
Hobby Lobby gives 50 percent of its profits to various ministries.
Green said his company “belongs to God and that we are just stewards of his company.”
Watch this powerful 8-minute video on how the power of giving can radically change your life. It did David’s.
