Bigots … White Supremacists … Discriminatory …
That’s how Christians are being portrayed before Congress.
Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez – popularly known as AOC – attacked Christians during a hearing on LGBTQ rights in the House Oversight Committee.
She said, “…it’s very difficult to sit here and listen to arguments in the long history of this country of using scripture and weaponizing and abusing scripture to justify bigotry.”
“White supremacists have done it, those who justified slavery did it, those who fought against integration did it, and we’re seeing it today.”
“…I feel as though if Christ himself walked through these doors and said what he said thousands of years ago, that we should love our neighbor and our enemy, that we would welcome the stranger, fight for the least of us … he would be maligned as a radical and rejected from these doors.”
In her three-minute speech she said:
“There is nothing holy about rejecting medical care of people, no matter who they are, on the grounds of what their identity is. There is nothing holy about turning someone away from a hospital. There is nothing holy about rejecting a child from a family. There is nothing holy about writing discrimination into the law.”
The topic focused on the Trump administration fighting for religious freedom including faith-based adoption and foster care versus forcing private agencies to give children to homosexual or transgender people, banning of transgenders from the military, and the dismantling of Obama’s special executive orders at the expense of religious freedom.

One Comment on “AOC Accusation: Christians Abuse Scripture to Justify Bigotry”
First, AOC is not qualified, second, christ is also a just Savior, it’s not all skittles and rainbows, there will always be those who justify their sin by twisting the scripture even Christians can do that. Remember LGBT also involves explicit gross sexual practices, the dismembering of family, and the very nature of homosexuality does not promote reproduction which goes against God‘s nature. She is so easy to pick a part, but we shouldn’t be surprised it’s going to get worse as far as Christian persecution in that arena anyway. The world is getting gloriously dark and it’s actually coming together not falling apart and the AOC’s of the world we’re going to get bolder and bolder until the rapture
