For Christian voters, one of the many reasons 81% of evangelicals supported Trump was for a new Supreme Court Justice stopping judicial activism and protecting religious liberty.
Not surprising the campaign to stop Neil Gorsuch from being the next Supreme Court Justice is intense. And getting more intense.
It’s a big campaign of telephone calls, petitions and email to the U.S. Senate to stop the nomination
Behind it is:
- Big money
- Coordinated and organized opposition
- Media demonizing Gorsuch character and positions

The 20 hours of grilling by the Senate committee proved Neil Gorsuch’s high level of understanding of law, the constitution and judicial restraint. He said:
“When I put on the robe, I am also reminded that under our Constitution, it is for this body, the people’s representatives, to make new laws. For the executive to ensure those laws are faithfully enforced. And for neutral and independent judges to apply the law in the people’s disputes. If judges were just secret legislators, declaring not what the law is but what they would like it to be, the very idea of a government by the people and for the people would be at risk.”
One of the reasons liberals hate Gorsuch deals with his stand on religious liberty.
Gorsuch’s rulings siding with Hobby Lobby and Little Sisters of the Poor against the Obama administration’s HHS mandate outraged those trying to transform our culture.
But Gorsuch understands religious freedom applies to all, not just Christians and Jews.
Judge Gorsuch sided with Andrew Yellowbear, a member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe serving a life sentence for beating his two-year-old daughter to death. When a federal prison denied Yellowbear access to the sweat lodge in the main prison yard, Judge Gorsuch ruled that our laws clearly protect “those sincerely seeking to exercise religion.”
He also sided with Madyn Abdulhaseeb, a Muslim man who sued his prison for denying him halal meals. Judge Gorsuch has repeatedly defended the religious liberty of everyone, something we can all learn from.
And Gorsuch stands against abuse of power by government.
The judiciary defends the Constitution from legislators and the executive branch by those who abuse their power by overreaching. In an era of increasing executive power and unelected bureaucrats regulating ever more areas of our lives, it’s important that our Judges aren’t afraid to rule against those in power.
He’s defended the 4th Amendment for citizens whose constitutional rights were abused by police officers.
Gorsuch understands we do not get our rights from government, but from God.
He said, regarding euthanasia:
“We treat people as worthy of equal respect because of their status as human beings and without regard to their looks, gender, race, creed, or any other incidental trait- because in the words of the Declaration of Independence, we hold it as ‘self-evident’ that ‘all men [and women] are created equal’ and enjoy ‘certain unalienable rights’ and ‘that among these are Life.”
This is not a Democrat or Republican issue
It’s to stop judicial activism – legislation from the bench. It’s to save our society, economy and Republic from the courts dictating law, not the legislative.
Help us help Neil Gorsuch with our petition to have him confirmed. We will let your senators know…and I’ll go on the media with our thousands of signatures.
