“Intifada.”
The radicals are using the word “intifada” as a slogan or rallying cry as protests against Israel escalate.
Intifada sounds very strange, but what does it mean?
The word intifada comes from the Middle East and, along with it, death and destruction from radical Islamic ideology/religion.
On college campuses, high schools, and even in younger grades nationwide, our children have been encouraged to use the word by radicalized ideological teachers.
Part of its meaning is antisemitic; part of it is a global worldview that is shaped by Critical Race Theory (CRT), creating hatred towards anything “white.” In this case, the oppressors are the Jews… the oppressed, the Palestinians, and Hamas.
For example, on college campuses across America, students, professors, and faculty shout slogans or display signs that say, “Free Palestine,” “From the River to the Sea,” “We are Hamas,” “Long Live Hamas,” along with “Globalize the Intifada.”
All of these slogans call for the destruction of Israel and the extermination of the Jews—all part of the intifada.
So, what does the word “intifada” mean?
Here are 3 things you should know…
1) Where the word “intifada” comes from
Intifada is an Arabic word that literally means “tremor,” “shivering,” or “shuddering.” It is from the Arabic term “nafada,” which means “to shake,” “shake off,” or “get rid of,” “uprising,” or “insurrect
ion.”
2) There were 2 key intifadas: Death, Destruction, and Terror.
The First Palestinian Intifada erupted in Gaza in 1987 and ended in 1993. It came on the heels of signing the first Oslo Accords, which provided a framework for peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians.
The second intifada began in 2,000. It started after peace talks failed. It resulted in thousands of deaths from suicide bombers and sniper shootings.
3) What about today’s intifada?
Today, pro-Palestinian protestors are joining Iran, Hamas, and other terrorist states and groups, calling for a “Global Intifada.”
They call for “aggressive resistance against Israel” and “those who support Israel.” That’s America.
There is no right or wrong. Only the destruction of Israel and the elimination of the Jews… whatever it takes.
Intifada is a form of racism.
Intifada is a form of hatred.
Intifada is violence.
Intifada is a term for the extermination of the Jewish population.
It’s an easy way to display antisemitism.
When you hear the term, know that what you hear is evil.
We should all follow Genesis 12:3:
“I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you, all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
This is as true today as it has ever been.
