In the last issue of Reality Alert, I told of how Houston pastors had been ordered to turn in to government lawyers all texts, emails and any communications that spoke about homosexuality, civil rights, gender identity and more (see article here). This is scary, unconstitutional and racist!
After intense national pressure, the mayor caved. However, she will continue to impose her city ordinances that violate religious liberty and other rights, refuse to accept a vote by the people on the issues despite having enough significance and will fight the suit that demands to put the issue on the ballot.
She met with pastors and thousands joined in a rally, but she says about the subpoenas, “I didn’t do this to satisfy them, I did it because it was not servicing Houston.”
