Sweden
- Please help! We’ve previously mentioned the homeschooled child in Sweden who was taken from his family. Now government officials may be trying to terminate the parental rights of Christer and Annie Johansson for daring to homeschool their son Domenic.
The Johanssons have become an internationally known target of this government’s authoritarian acts. But the battle is not lost! I urge you to help them in their struggle. To get involved and help them, click here.
United States
- The Stop SB 48 campaign failed…barely. This was the referendum that would have stopped the teaching of homosexuality in history books. We needed 504,760 names, and only 497,404 signed. In fact, we needed far more, as many petition signatures are often disqualified.
So 500,000 signatures were found—without paid signature gatherers. Unprecedented!
Iran
- You may have been following the story of Youcef Nadarkhani, a pastor of more than 400 Christians in Rasht, Iran, convicted of apostasy. You can read about his plight in our recent story here.
Praise the Lord! Nadarkhani has been spared...for now. Iran claims he was never under a sentence of death for apostasy, but is being held for espionage! They’ve also called him a convicted extortionist and rapist.
They said the international outcry wasn’t accurate—but we know what happened here! Faith-based opposition to this outrage has spared him.
For the moment, he appears to be safe. Please continue to pray!
