A contrast of values
On the anniversary of abortion in America, President Obama said, “Today marks the 38th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that protects women’s health and reproductive freedom and affirms a fundamental principle: That government should not intrude on private family matters. I am committed to protecting this constitutional right.”
The President equated abortion with healthcare and ignored the fundamental issue of when life begins (Psalm 139).
This is just like the Dred Scott Decision in 1857, when the U.S. Supreme Court declared that some individuals possessed no rights—whereas some individuals really are human and others are not.
50 million innocent unborn children have been killed by abortion—more than all the deaths from all the wars that the U.S. has fought in, from the Revolutionary War to the war in Afghanistan.
And every 26 seconds, another innocent baby’s life is snuffed out by an abortionist.
President Ronald Reagan had a different view. You can listen to his advocacy of the personhood of the unborn in this 3-minute video. Click here to watch it.
