The murder mill keeps churning
This makes me sick.
Planned Parenthood gets $350 million in tax dollars each year—nearly $1 million dollars a day. For this, it kills more than 325,000 babies annually. A thousand dollars per abortion…
Planned Parenthood’s president makes just under $400,000 a year.
Here’s another “million dollar” figure: Planned Parenthood and other abortion groups spent at least $947,280 on lobbying in 2010, plus $905,000 electing Democrats, the same year.
The organization’s political action committee, for example, gave $150,000 to candidates for federal office, almost all of them Democrats.
More inconvenient truths about Planned Parenthood show the group is about abortion, not about caring for pregnant women and their children:
- It is the largest abortion provider, at 25% of all U.S. abortions. It does double the number of abortions now, compared to 1999.
- In that same period, annual adoption referrals dove by two-thirds (2,999 to 997), and prenatal visits plummeted from 18,878 to 7,021.
In the past 50 years, abortion has killed 1 to 2 billion children. About 20% of all pregnancies worldwide end in abortion—more than 40 million a year.
How refreshing then, to hear former physician and possible presidential candidate Ron Paul recently rebuke libertarians for supporting abortion.
He said the libertarian view that limited government requires a hands-off abortion policy was incorrect.
“Life comes from our creator, not our government,” Paul said. “Liberty comes from our creator, not from government.”
