No more churches in Afghanistan
No schools either
The last Christian church in Afghanistan was bulldozed last year. The owner had a 99-year lease and the Afghan constitution promises free exercise of faith, but they lost in court and the landowner razed the church.
After 0 billion spent on the Afghan war and 1,700 American soldiers dead, Christians have nowhere to practice their faith.
This is horrible!
On top of that, the U.S. Army recently removed a prominent cross from a chapel at a base in Afghanistan. Army personnel said it had been a source of inspiration and motivation, but the army said it was against regulations.
Afghanistan’s constitution hedges its bets saying Christians can practice their faith “within the law” and it affirms Islam as the “religion of the state.” No law can ever violate Islam, it says.
That doesn’t give Christians a chance, and now they have no churches either.
It’s so sad for Christians everywhere…

Conspiracy theory—what Christmas might really be about
“Advent Conspiracy” calls Christians to give
Many churches over the past 5 years have taken part in the “Advent Conspiracy” to focus on giving of themselves…instead of just giving more “stuff.”
The effort includes a website, book, suggestions on how to give of your time and talents—and a video.
Click here to visit the Advent Conspiracy website. To watch the video, click here.
The idea is:
- Worship fully
- Spend less
- Give more
- Love all

End-of-the-world apology: Harold Camping says, “Sorry”
Also says he’s checking his notes, counsels patience
California radio preacher Harold Camping predicted the end of the world on May 21, and again on October 21 this year. We wrote about the first prediction in May. Click here to read the article. And click here to read the raucous responses that accompanied it in June.
Christians were mocked by the media and led astray by Harold Camping.
Now Camping confesses he was wrong—and wrong also to say God would “stop saving people” after May 21. He says he regrets his mistakes.
Since 1992, Camping has said he has formulae that could give the exact dates of Noah’s Flood, Jesus’ Crucifixion—and the end of the world.
After three failed prophecies—his first was in 1994—it seems Camping may finally see the truth of the counsel that, “No one knows the day or the hour.”
Some Christians are disputing his sincerity; others say we must forgive.
